It contains articles on topics such as sport, fashion and business and has published work by writers such as Ernest Hemingway , F Scott Fitzgerald , Tom Wolfe and Norman Mailer . It began in the US in 1933 and one of its best-known features was the series of drawings of attractive girls done by Alberto Vargas (1896–1983).
