Meaning of FLOYD in English

( Charles Arthur Floyd 1901–34)

a US criminal who robbed banks in the Midwest during the Great Depression and was for a time ‘Public Enemy Number One’. Some Americans admired him because he gave money to poor people, but he also murdered about ten men, including two FBI officers. He was finally killed by the FBI in a field of corn in Ohio.
