an English comedian and television presenter. He is best known for presenting game shows in which members of the public play games and win prizes. He is also known for introducing his shows by saying, ‘Nice to see you, to see you … nice.’ Another phrase he often uses is ‘Didn’t he (or she) do well?’.
II . Frederick Forsyth
(1938– )
an English journalist and writer of novels about international crime and politics, well known for their realistic details and exciting stories. They include The Day of the Jackal (1971) and The Odessa File (1972), both of which have been made into successful films.
