a US writer of crime novels. His books are known for their fast action, tough characters and realistic language. His many novels include Stick (1983), Freaky Deaky (1988), Rum Punch (1992) and Out of Sight (1997). Several have been made into films, including Get Shorty (1995) with John Travolta .
II . ‘Sugar’ Ray Leonard
(1956– )
a US boxer, the only one ever to have been world champion at different times in five different weight divisions. He also won a gold medal as the Light-Welterweight Champion at the 1976 Olympics.
