a British comedian and writer, born in India. He first became famous as one of the stars of The Goon Show , much of which he also wrote, in the 1950s. He later appeared in a number of television series of his own. Milligan also wrote children’s books, poetry, comic novels and humorous books based on his experiences in the British army in World War II . His crazy and original style of humour has had a great influence on British comedy.
