a US film director and actor who also writes films. He has been criticized for the violence in such films as Reservoir Dogs (1991) and Pulp Fiction (1994), for which he won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. It was also chosen as the best film at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. Other films written by Tarantino include True Romance (1993), Natural Born Killers (1994), Jackie Brown (1997) and Kill Bill (2003).
