MILKOM

[Other] The chief god of the Ammonites of eastern Jordan. The name is possibly derived from the Semitic milk, which means king. Milkom was worshipped by King Solomon (10th century BCE) who built a temple in his honor. This temple was destroyed 300 years later by king Josia of Judah.
