[Celtic] Olwen ("white track", probably for flowers that blossomed under her feet) was the daughter of the Ysbaddaden, a monstrous figure whose life depended on keeping his daughter. She was a beautiful woman of high degree. When she married, her father's power (and life) was transferred to her husband.
