Meaning of PROPHETS in English

[Islamic] In the Islamic popular tradition, God created light first in the form of a pearl. God looked upon this shining pearl with so much love that it felt shy and perspiration 'pearled' upon its shiny surface. They are the following, in order of their appearance on earth: Adam Idris Nuh (Noah) Hud Salid Ibrahim (Abraham) Lut (Lot) Ishaq (Isaac) Isma'il (Ishmael) Ya'qub (Jacob) Yusuf (Joseph) Ayyub (Job) Shu'ayb (Jethro) Musa (Moses) Harun (Aaron) Dhu'l-Kifli (Joshua) Shamuil (Samuel) Dawud (David) Sulayman (Solomon) Ilyas (Elijah) Al-Yasaa (Elisha) Uzayr (Ezra) Yunus (Jonah) Zakariya (Zachariah) Yahya (John the Baptist) Isa (Jesus) Muhammad A prophet is a man who receives a revelation directly from God or from an angel (Jibril).
