[Polynesian] In Maori tradition, Tau-Titi is the son of Miru, the Spirit Queen. A dance is named after him, which is held during the night by moonlight. Occasionally the four beautiful daughters of Miru arrive at the dance after sunset, unrecognized. When the morning star appears, they vanish and return to the gloomy home in Avaiki.
