Meaning of YIMA in English

[Persian] The Persian patriarch who was warned of the coming of a scourging winter by Ahura Mazda. He was told to build a vara (enclosure) wherein he was to shelter himself and all living things. When the winter was over, Ahura Mazda sent the bird Karshipta.
