Meaning of HYDRO-TRANSPORT in English

(1) Mixing a crushed material, such as coal, gravel or sand, with water to facilitate its transport under pressure, through a pipes. (2) (Tar Sands) Mixing the crushed black sands containing bitumen: a heavy, molasses-like oil: with hot water in a "cyclo-feeder" to facilitate its transportation via pipeline to plants where the bitumen is separated from the water and then "cracked" in cokers into various hydrocarbon by-products, i.e., naphtha, kerosene, and heavy fuel oil.
