the court of law for the EU (European Union), based in Luxembourg. It makes sure that EU laws are used in the same way in all EU countries so that national courts do not make different decisions in the same situation. It also makes sure that EU member states and organizations do what the law requires. The Court has the power to settle legal disagreements between EU member states, EU organizations, etc.
