(1948–) a British ↑ composer who has written many very successful ↑ musical s (=plays that use singing and dancing to tell a story) , including Jesus Christ Superstar , Evita , and Cats . Some of his musicals were written with Tim ↑ Rice . His official title is Lord Lloyd-Webber of Sydmonton.
