(1929–2007) an Icelandic television ↑ presenter living and working in Britain, who asked the questions on the popular television ↑ quiz programme Mastermind from 1972 to 1997. If he was in the middle of asking a question when the time allowed for questions had finished, he would say ‘I’ve started, so I’ll finish’.
