(1961-) a US politician who announced in February 2007 that he would be competing to become the Democratic ↑ candidate for the 2008 Presidential Election. He was a Member of the Illinois State Senate from 1997 to 2004, and joined the US Senate as Junior Senator from Illinois in January 2005.
