(1923–) an Israeli Socialist politician, who was Prime Minister from 1984 to 1986 and from 1995 to 1996. In 1994 he won the Nobel peace prize with Itzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat for the peace agreement they signed in 1993. He became President in 2007.
