PYROPHYLLITE

[py.ro.phyl.lite] n [G Pyrophyllit, fr. Gk pyr- + phyllon leaf--more at blade] (1830): a white or greenish mineral that is a hydrous aluminum silicate, resembles talc, occurs in a foliated form or in compact masses, and is used esp. in ceramic wares
