Meaning of PANK in English

A word we used growing up in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan where we got lots of snow. Usually refers to packing down snow but can be used for dirt, leaves etc Example: 1) I had a big snow pile in front of the door, but I panked it down to get out. 2) If the snow is too soft on the snowman, pank it down some more to make it harder.
