MICROMETEOROLOGY

The study of weather features possessing the horizontal dimensions from 2 to 2,000 meters (6.56 to 6,560 feet) and the time scale from 1 to 3,600 seconds. It is considered the study of turbulence, diffusion, and heat transfer within the atmosphere. It includes weather phenomena such as tornadoes, short gravity waves, dust devils, thermals, wakes, and plumes.
