SUPERCOOLED DROPLET

Water droplets typically found in the lower layers of clouds which are cooler than the freezing temperature. Typically the temperature range is between 32° and 0° F (0° and -17.8° C), but if there is an absence of nuclei, supercooled droplets can be as cold as -40° F (-40° C).
