CHAULMOOGRA OIL

also called Hydnocarpus Oil, or Hynocardia Oil, yellow or brownish yellow liquid obtained from the seeds of several trees of the genus Hydnocarpus, belonging to the Indian plum family, Flacourtiaceae. The oil and its purified derivatives, formerly used in the treatment of leprosy, have been largely replaced by antibiotics.
