an English theatre director who is best known for his modern productions of Shakespeare plays. He is the son of Peter Hall .
II . Peter Hall
(1930– )
an English theatre, opera and film director. He ran the Royal Shakespeare Company (1960–68) and the National Theatre (1973–88), and has also been involved with the opera at Glyndebourne . He was made a knight in 1977.
