Meaning of RUNOFF CURVE NUMBER in English

A rainfall-runoff parameter commonly used in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), formerly the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), hydrologic procedures. The larger the runoff curve number, the greater the percentage of rainfall that will appear as runoff. The runoff curve number is a function of soil type, land use, and land management practices.
