(1962–) a British ↑ rower (=someone who rows a boat) who won five Olympic ↑ gold medal s , in 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, and 2000. He is considered to be the greatest rower ever. In 2001, he became Sir Steve Redgrave.

(1937–) a British film and theatre actress who is known for her strong ↑ left wing beliefs. Her films include Julia (1977), for which she won an Oscar, and Howards End (1992).
