II. Redgrave, Va ‧ nes ‧ sa /vəˈnesə/ BrE AmE

(1937–) a British film and theatre actress who is known for her strong ↑ left wing beliefs. Her films include Julia (1977), for which she won an Oscar, and Howards End (1992).
