JOHN O'GROAT'S

Meaning of JOHN O'GROAT'S in English

Village, Scotland.

Near Dunnet Head , it was settled in 1793 by John de Groat and his two brothers. It was once considered Britain's most northerly point, giving rise to the expression "from Land's End to John o'Groat's."
