uncommon malignant tumour of bone marrow that may occur at any age and in any bone, affecting males twice as frequently as females. Symptoms include mild pain and swelling. The tumour grows slowly and metastasizes late, but bone destruction is severe. Irradiation therapy is the preferred treatment.
