BLACKHEATH

an area of open land in south-east London, England. It was the place where people gathered to support Wat Tyler in 1381 and Jack Cade in 1450, and where they greeted King Henry VII after the Battle of Agincourt and King Charles II at the Restoration . The name Blackheath is now most commonly used to refer to the area where people live, around the open land.
