an English rock guitarist and singer known for his great skill on the guitar. He played with The Yardbirds (1963–65) and with Cream (1966–68), one of the first heavy rock bands. Since then he has recorded many successful songs with other bands and alone. He won Grammy awards for Tears in Heaven (1992), the album Unplugged (1992) and Change the World (1997).
