Meaning of FALSTAFF in English

a character who appears in three of Shakespeare’s plays, Henry IV Parts 1 and 2 , and The Merry Wives of Windsor . He is fat, greedy, dishonest, often drunk, but always humorous and entertaining. He is one of Shakespeare’s most popular characters, best known as the friend of young Prince Hal in Henry IV Part 1 .
