( James Thomas Farrell 1904–79)
a US writer of novels, short stories and poems. His realistic novels were about the Irish in the poor section of Chicago . He wrote three novels between 1932 and 1935 about the character Studs Lonigan and five between 1936 and 1953 about Danny O’Neill. His collected poems were published in 1965.
