Meaning of FOLLOW-MY-LEADER in English

a children’s game in which one player is the ‘leader’ and the others must do exactly what the leader does, such as jumping, holding out their hands, etc. The phrase is sometimes used to refer to people who do what they are told to do without thinking about it:

She warned investors that playing follow-the-leader gets you nowhere.
