I . Charles Lamb
(1775–1834)
an English writer. His best-known works are Tales from Shakespeare (1807), written for children with his sister Mary (1764–1847), and Essays of Elia , published in two collections in 1823 and 1833.
II . Lady Caroline Lamb
(1785–1828)
an English author and the wife of William Lamb, who later became the British Prime Minister Lord Melbourne . She is best known for her love affair with the poet Lord Byron , whom she described as ‘mad, bad and dangerous to know’, and who was the model for the character in her novel Glenarvon (1816).
