a university in London, England, established in 1836. It consists of a large number of colleges in different parts of the city, including Imperial College London , the London School of Economics and University College, London . It also includes the teaching hospitals Bart’s and Guy’s . About one fifth of London University students study abroad and take examinations in their own countries as part of the External Programme.
