a British satirical magazine first published in 1961 and now appearing twice a month. It contains humorous articles and cartoons, but also investigates dishonest behaviour in politics and business. The magazine’s editors have appeared many times in British courts of law, charged with falsely accusing people and damaging people’s reputations.
