Meaning of RICE PUDDING in English

a traditional English pudding (= cooked sweet dish) made with rice, sugar and milk. If you say that somebody ‘couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding’ you mean that they are very weak or unable to defend themselves in a fight. This is an informal British expression.
