Meaning of TWEETY PIE in English

a canary (= a small yellow bird) in Warner Brothers cartoons from the 1940s to the 1960s. He first appeared in 1941 and was joined by his enemy Sylvester the cat in 1947. Tweety Pie speaks in a high voice rather like a baby, and when Sylvester is near often says, ‘I tawt I taw a puddy tat.’ (‘I thought I saw a pussy cat.’).
