one of the best-known bridges over the River Thames in central London. The Houses of Parliament are close to the north end of the bridge, and the south side leads to County Hall and the South Bank . It is popular with tourists, who like to take photographs of each other with the Houses of Parliament (2) in the background. Wordsworth’s poem On Westminster Bridge begins with the famous line: ‘Earth has not anything to show more fair.’
