(Data Analysis) For a series of recorded observations, the sum of the products of the frequency of certain values and the value of the observation, divided by the total number of observations. For example, for one measurement of 5 grams, three measurements of 7 grams, and two measurements of 2 grams, the weighted average is (1(5) + 3(7) + 2(2))/6 = 5 grams.
