OTTER TWIN TRAWL

This rather particular gear comprises two identical trawl nets ('twin') working together, opened horizontally by a single pair of otter boards. Their inner wings are attached to a sledge towed simultaneously with the otter boards from a common warp. They are generally used for catching shrimp (four trawls at the same time). ( Nedelec and Prado, 1990).
