in the New Testament of the Bible, three kings or wise men who came from the East, guided by a star, and brought gifts of gold, ↑ frankincense , and ↑ myrrh for the baby Jesus. The expression ‘three wise men’ is sometimes used, especially in newspapers, to describe three men who work together as a group:
