COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS

Study of fluid motions by creating a simplified model of a fluid system in a computer, and then simulating its evolution from one moment to the next. Often used when the motion cannot be obtained by solving mathematical equations analytically, or if the system is too large or too complex to reproduce in a laboratory.
