ROP

(raster ops) (n.) The logical operations (called ANDs, ORs, NORs, and so on) performed on portions of the bit plane s--called bitmap s or pixmap s--in the frame buffer. These operations perform fundamental movements and transfers of pixel data. See also bit BLT .
