RODS TO THE HOG'S HEAD

A quaint and antiquated measurement of absolutely anything. The unit of measurement is a rod, checked against a hog's head. The implication is that whatever it is you're measuring, it's either very old, or happened a long time ago. Example: 1. Abraham Simpson: I said the metric system is the tool of the devil... My car gets 40 rods to the hog's head, and that's the way I likes it! 2. My first computer was a Commodore 64 that got four rods to the hog's head of memory.
