They are best known for their three-part chanson s in rondeau form (see formes fixes ), usually with text only in the highest part
perhaps implying a solo voice accompanied by instruments, written in full triadic harmony. The most important Burgundian composers were Guillaume Dufay , Gilles Binchois ( 0441; 140060), and Antoine Busnois ( 0441; 143092).
