SARUWAGED RANGE

mountain range on the Huon Peninsula, northeastern New Guinea, on the border of Morobe and Madang provinces, Papua New Guinea. The range, rising to 13,520 ft (4,121 m) at Mt. Bangeta, lies on the northern edge of the great Central Depression. Streams flowing from its southern flanks course south to feed the Markham River.
