Meaning of FAREWELL ADDRESS in English

the speech made by President George Washington to the US people when he retired. It was not spoken publicly by Washington but published in the American Daily Advertiser , a Philadelphia newspaper, on 19 September 1796. Alexander Hamilton helped Washington to write the speech, in which he told the nation to have ‘as little political connection as possible’ with other countries, and also warned about the dangers of political parties because they divide the people.
