GARRICK CLUB


Meaning of GARRICK CLUB in English

a club in Garrick Street in central London, England. It was established in 1831 as a club for ‘actors and men of refinement’, and named after David Garrick . Today its members are mainly actors, journalists and lawyers. In 1992 they voted to continue the ban on women as members.
