Meaning of TULL in English

(1674–1741)

an English farmer who invented the ‘seed drill’, a piece of agricultural equipment that made it possible for agricultural production to become mechanical. It was pulled by a horse, sowed (= planted) three rows of seed at the same time and removed weeds. It represented a major advance in agricultural methods, both in England and other countries.
