CHARRED BODY

[Native American] Among the Awatixa, of the Hidatsa Confederation of North Dakota, Charred Body took the form of an arrow and came down from the sky near the Missouri River. He made a village and populated it with 13 couples, who became the first Awatixa. He was also a culture hero, teaching the Awatixa the Naxpike, or HideBeating Ceremony and the Buffalo Calling Ceremony.
